Chapter Corporate Warrior Leader Award
On behalf of the Fort Pitt Chapter of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) and the Pittsburgh Warrior
Community, we are pleased to be awarding Highmark Health the AUSA Fort Pitt Chapter Corporate Warrior Leader Award. The
award is presented to the Highmark Health team due to your years of service, commitment, and leadership in the Pittsburgh Warrior Community.
This year, the AUSA’s, Fort Pitt Chapter Corporate Warrior Leader Award will be presented at the 4th Annual Pittsburgh Armed Forces Ball at the 316th ESC in Coraopolis, PA on Saturday, November 10th 2018. With more than 300 community, industry, service members and veterans attending, we anticipate another amazing event.
The award is presented to a corporation who has demonstrated leadership in the Pittsburgh Military Community, via its commitment to supporting and empowering their own veteran employees, as well as their support and service to the local military community. Highmark Health, over the last few years has been viewed as one of those organizations going out of its way to recognize and support the Pittsburgh Warrior Community. Your continued support and drive to harness the veteran talent already within Highmark Health to help grow and develop your business is a true model for other Pittsburgh Corporations. Highmark Health has become an inspiration and mentor to many other organizations and corporations in the Pittsburgh Community and we are honored to recognize and celebrate that accomplishment with you.
A representation of leadership in militaries around the world, the award its self is a traditional US Army Officers Saber with Scabbard. The Saber is engraved with Highmark Health on the blade, near the Guard. The award is presented in a display stand also engraved and with two embedded AUSA, Fort Pitt Chapter commendation coins. This year’s award will be presented by last year’s
recipient Mr. Jeffrey Smith, Senior Vice President FedEx Ground as well as Executive Leadership from previous recipients BNY Mellon and Allegheny Technologies.
In summary, the AUSA, Fort Pitt Chapter Corporate Warrior Leader Award is an important opportunity to honor those organizations and corporations who embody the essence of the Pittsburgh Community and the Warriors and Leaders who claim her as their home. Highmark’s service to the military community of Pittsburgh certainly reflects the spirit and attributes of the Pittsburgh Warriors, the community and the national leaders who founded our great city. We are honored and humbled to be presenting this award.
