On 24 November the 2015 Laurel Highlands Boy Scout Council’s Recognition Dinner honored the 2015 Eagle Class. The occasion brought together top corporate, business and community leaders to recognize the accomplishments of the Council’s class of Eagle Scouts, as well as to honor a local community leader or organization for their commitment to the ideals of service and character that Scouting represents.
Since 1950, the Laurel Highlands BSA Council continued the tradition of matching business, professional, community leaders with Eagle Scouts by career fields. This unique opportunity enable Eagle Scouts to further expand their understanding of their chosen career field.
Chapter VP, COL Jim Orr, has represented AUSA by matching our members with those Eagle Scouts who have indicated an interest in a military career. Chapter president, Carlos Carmona-Torres, led this year’s group and was joined by LTC Andy Loeb, US
Army (ret), COL Steve Patarcity, USAR, LTC Joseph Sullivan, USAF, and former MAJ Robert MacDonald. Thanks to all for your time and commitment in mentoring these outstanding young men.
